11. Grinding mill (graanmolen):

In order to give the villagers the possibility to grind their own maize, main component of the daily Zambian menu, the grinding mill was built. Also this mill is intended to start creating own income by the local representatives of Joy of a Toy. The first building very soon turned out to be too small and the floor was ruined by vibrations caused by the working mill. The building was enlarged and the mill was embedded more secure, both alterations turned out to be real improvements. In the first period the income raised by the mill was substantial but later on, because of growing costs of electricity and competition of several other grinding mills in the area, a decrease is noticed. On the positive side this competition means that there is economic progress.
