12. Kitchen for orphanage (buitenkeuken):

The easiest way of cooking meals for many people in one time is with a charcoal fire. That is why in Zambia one finds many kitchens with a half open space, standing separated from the house; a so-called exterior kitchen. We built a kitchen like this also for the orphanage, again supported financially by the Rotary Brielle. In the outside part one cooks on a charcoal fire, inside one finds some simple cooking plates and the dishes can be done in there.
